A tip about how to write the date on documents to prevent you and your business from being defrauded in 2020. If you think that it can often be the ‘simple’ things in business that can get you defrauded, this is one of those things. The tip is whenever writing the date on important contracts and other critical documents, write the year in full, e.g. 2020. For example, if you had written “7th Jan 20,” or “7/1/20,” that could allow the document to fraudulently altered. Adding “19” to your original “20” can purport the document to have been signed-in 2019! That could land you in complex and unnecessary legal battles to prove it was actually signed in 2020. Will you be writing the year on your documents as 2020?
