Does it matter that cryptocurrency investment scammers are operating on LinkedIn?

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have recently stated that crypto related #fraudulent activities on LinkedIn are becoming more prevalent.

The #fraud works by being approached by another “professional” and being encouraged how to make money through crypto investments. Once you “trust” your new professional friend, you’ll be lured into investing some money. You will of course lose that money.

In my opinion, it’s irrelevant this has been reported by a US law enforcement agency. It will become, if not already, a tactic used by those operating in the UK.

Do you accept all connection invitation requests?

Do you trust previously unknown people quickly if they are polite to you?

Are you vulnerable to being defrauded in this way?
